Hi all!
Here I am writing my first post. :) So here it goes....
Life for us is good. We're all happy and generally healthy (aside from your classic cold.) It's been nice to not have to worry so much about sick kids (i.e. Anthony and his allergies and asthma) We're actually taking him to do more N.A.E.T treatments, which is great because he'll be able to eat a ton more food soon! Whe hew!
Anyway, as you all know Joe has is own business called Fusion IT Consulting. And it's actually doing really well. He works for 7 companies now. One of them that he just picked up is Mapleton City. The Mayor highered him! So now he has his hands full. In the future we're hoping that he'll be able to do Fusion full-time. Wouldn't that be awesome?!
As for the kids Megan is loving school. It's interesting because she's learning a totally different way. And I'll admit, I've been nervous just because it's not what I've been expecting. But all of a sudden she's been able to read. Just like out of no where! The only thing they've had her do is write vocabulary and I'm supposed to read at least 20 min. with her. And I've been so surprised at how well she's done. She sings these little songs about English rules that's so cute. Anyway, I've been really happy with her progress so far. There are a bunch of other things too that I just didn't expect. Like she's been learning about the solar system and our planet. Also earlier in the year she learned about our bodies like, our nervous system, and our heart and veins system, and our digestive system, and all of our systems. Anyway, it's been interesting for me to see.
Moving on to Anthony. Anthony loves to go to Pre-school. Jill Davenport is so great for him. For a while he was having trouble going without crying, but I found out that I have to be very consistent with him. He doesn't like any change, like missing for part of a week when he's sick. But when I go each week, he does really well. He knows all of his letters and he can count up to 30, and maybe higher. He LOVES to play Star Craft. In fact, he likes to play it so much that it drives me crazy! I usually don't let him play games during the week, unless it's a learning game. And only for like an hour. If I didn't control his playing, he would play all day long. I kid you not!
Amanda is such a cutie. Her and Joe are two peas in a pod. (Which is good for me cause then I don't have to compete with her and Abigail.) She's totally a daddy's girl. She loves to draw smiley faces, and scary faces, and any other kind of faces. She can speak very well for her age. She's still very small for her age and so people get really thrown off by how well she speaks. She's potty training right now. Some days are good and some are bad. (more bad than good I think) Her favorite past time is taking the rice milk and pouring all of it out into the bowl and onto the table and making some kind of soup with it. Ya know like, putting whatever is on the table in it. I have to make sure that the table doesn't have milk or water or anything on it or she'll go to town.
Abigail is getting bigger and cuter. So far she has been the easiest baby I've ever had. I can eat pretty much anything and she doesn't seem to be bothered too much by it. She's just barely beginning to smile at me. It just makes my whole world light up when she does! All of the kids just love her so much. No sibling rivalry and all. She hasn't lost her hair yet. And she has the most hair out of all my kids. We're still wondering if she's going to have brown or blue eyes. It's a toss up! She's been such a joy in our lives.
As for me, I'm still recovering from having a baby. (I feel like I'll never have my stomach back!) Next week I'm going to start exercising, and I'm going to start eating to keep my insulin levels, level. Hopefully I'll be able to start losing some weight here. Christmas didn't help me at all! There was too much good food and candy everywhere! But now that things are back to normal I'll be able to control myself a lot better. :)
My calling is Primary President has been a lot of fun, and a lot of hard work. Thankfully I have really good Counsellors and Secretary. They've turned out to be really good friends of mine and I'm so glad that I can work with them. My testimony has grown because of my calling and because of the great women that I get to work with.
So there you have it! My first post. It was a long one, but I hope you enjoyed it. :)
